Job Key No 8290 Job Title/ Category Specialist I - Network Infrastructure, IPS/IDS, Firewall, Load Balancer Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Technical Support Nature Permanent Contract Period Employer Business financial institution Location Base Kwun Tong Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Duties Serve a permanent position to a financial institution; Our client is a private company jointly owned by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and The Hong Kong Association of Banks. The key objective of HKICL is to develop and operate a safe and efficient multi-currency and multi-dimensional financial infrastructure in Hong Kong. At present, it operates an integrated financial infrastructure platform for: -interbank large-value fund transfers denominated in HKD, USD, Euro and RMB; - interbank money settlement of equity and debt securities transactions in Hong Kong via linkage established with the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) system; - interbank small-value fund transfers denominated in HKD and RMB, i.e. the HKD and RMB Faster Payment System; - interbank clearing and/or money settlement of retail payments in Hong Kong such as paper cheques, autodebits, autocredits, credit card payments, etc.; and - the HKMA’s CMU system as a computer operator. Major Responsibilities: - Perform server and network infrastructure installation, deployment, maintenance, support and troubleshooting; - Provide technical support and planning on internet, intranet, website, user application system, system software and hardware; - Responsible for liaising with internal users and external vendors to collect user requirements and propose suitable solutions in a cost-effective manner; - Maintain good performance on network infrastructure; - Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution; - Prepare system documentation and reporting; - Provide on-call support for emergency production incidents and on-site support for fire-fighting and perform shift duties as required. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 5.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 0.0 Requirements - University degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related disciplines; - Over 5 years’ relevant working experience in network administration and support; - Hands-on experience in Switch, Router, IPS/IDS, Firewall, Load Balancer, network monitoring and troubleshooting; - Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Suites, Red Hat Linux, NetApp storage and TCP/IP in LAN/WAN network environment; - Willing to work occasionally on evening and holiday shift duties for supporting operation; - Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; - Good communication and interpersonal skills and able to work under pressure.
