Job Key No 7400 Job Title/ Category Architect / Senior Specialist (Application Development) – Mainframe Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Application Development Nature Permanent Contract Period Employer Business financial institution Location Base Kwun Tong Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Duties - Serve a permanent position to a financial institution; Our client is a private company owned by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Association of Banks (HKAB). The key objective of the company is to develop and operate a safe and efficient multi-currency and multi-dimensional financial infrastructure in Hong Kong. It operates an integrated financial infrastructure platform for: - interbank large value funds transfers denominated in HKD, USD, Euro and RMB; - interbank money settlement of equity and debt securities transactions in Hong Kong via linkage established with the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and Central Moneymarkets Unit system (CMU); - interbank small value funds transfer denominated in HKD and RMB, i.e. the HKD and RMB faster payment system (FPS); - interbank clearing and/or money settlement of retail payments in Hong Kong such as paper cheques, autocredits, credit card payments, etc. - the HKMA’s CMU system, as a computer operator. Major Responsibilities: - Responsible for development of strategic business initiatives as well as maintenance of existing application systems; - Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and implementing computer programs; - Produce necessary documentation whenever applicable; - Analyse and define user requirements; - Design and develop systems specifications; - On-call for emergency production incidents and provide fire-fighting support. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 3.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 3.0 Requirements - University education with over 8 years’ mission-critical system development experience preferably in the financial sector for Architect (Application Development); over 5 years’ experience for Senior Specialist (Application Development); over 3 years’ experience for Specialist I (Application Development); - Proficiency in z/OS, CICS, COBOL and VSAM; - Knowledge in Java programming and web-based development, particularly in Spring Framework, Hibernate, XML, XSL, JMS, HTML, JQuery, JavaScript, Jasper Reports, WAS, Websphere MQ and SQL will be an advantage; - Good technical writing skill and prior working experience in banking sector is preferable; - Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
