(T26) To provide IT advice and support for the infrastructure implementation of the Automated Transportation On-board Clearance System (&;#8220;AUTOS&;#8221;) and system enhancement of Immigration Control System (&;#8220;ICONS&;#8221;)

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the ImmD;
(a) To provide IT advice and support on the implementation of the system infrastructure for AUTOS;
(b) To provide IT support and advice on the hardware upgrade and resources planning of ICONS;
(c) To supervise and provide technical advice on the System Integration Tests (SITs) and User Acceptance Tests (UATs) of system implementation;
(d) To perform diagnosis with the contractors on technical issues and monitor the progress of remedy actions;
(e) To review project deliverables and monitor the performance of the contractors of AUTOS and ICONS; and
(g) To perform other duties required for meeting the department's business need.

| Requirements |
- Solid experience in implementation, administration and maintenance of virtualization platform and Linux servers for mission critical systems;
- Solid experience in Linux server management including operating system configuration, system resources monitoring, performance tuning, security patching and operating system hardening;
- Possession of security certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISP (Certified Information Security Professional) or equivalent is highly preferred;
- The Contract Staff is required to take up on-call duty;
- The Contract Staff will normally work at the ImmD offices in Tseung Kwan O and occasionally provide support at various Immigration control points and offices
- The Contract Staff will have to work outside normal office hours occasionally to meet the operational needs
- Criminal record check is required
Technical Skills:
. At least 4 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN);
. At least 4 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT);
. At least 3 years' experience in IT Security (ITS).
Non-technical Skill:
. At least 3 years' experience in quality assurance (QAS).
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
