He / She will need to establish and maintain operating system environments, implement reverse-proxy architectures, and enforce security protocols for secure data transmission and system protection. He / She will need to analyze infrastructure topology and monitor data flow between internal application servers and DMZ-facing services to maintain security boundaries and optimize performance. He / She will need to implement resilient database solutions with failover capabilities to ensure high availability, consistent performance, and dependable data handling for SWIM services. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 6.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 4.0 Requirements 1. Proficiency in systems programming and scripting using PHP, Node.js, HTML5 and Linux shell scripting 2. Proficiency in developing software on Linux platforms with focus on secure deployment and system protection 3. Proficiency in implementing reverse-proxy architectures for secure data transmission and load balancing 4. Proficiency in NoSQL database technologies 5. Experience designing RESTful and OGC-compliant web services for geospatial data integration 6. Knowledge of WebGL and GeoServer for interactive geospatial visualization and map services will be an advantage 7. Knowledge of containerized applications, with practical experience in docker will be an advantage 8. Knowledge of meteorology and / or aviation will be an advantage A criminal record check will be required and the offer is subject to the results of the criminal record check. Technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in Geographic Information System (GIS); . At least 4 years' experience in HTML5 (HT5); . At least 4 years' experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP); . At least 4 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN); . At least 4 years' experience in PHP programming (PHP); . At least 4 years' experience in Proxy Server (PRS); . At least 4 years' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL); . At least 4 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT); . At least 4 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS); . At least 4 years' experience in Web Programming (WEB); . 1 year's experience in XML (XML) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Source Control Management System (SCM) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Apache Web Server (AWS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Client/Server Application Development (C/S) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV); . At least 4 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS); . At least 2 years' experience in software testing (STM). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
