(T26) To acquire a Staff Category 2 Analyst Programmer to maintain an aviation maintenance information system which includes Microsoft SQL Server database servers, with software upgrade and programming tasks, and provide user support. He/she is also required to assist in IT security administration.

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the SBU;
The appointed staff is required to work in the following areas:
a) to manage the IT infrastructure for the aviation maintenance information system;
b) to act as a primary liaison officer with software providers;
c) to install, configure and administer Microsoft SQL database servers;
d) to perform upgrades of the database and software and handle database migrations;
e) to create backups and maintain recovery policies and procedures;
f) to configure and administer database replication between servers, across network for high availability and disaster recovery;
g) to perform database tuning, coordinate application releases, and troubleshoot database issues;
h) to analyze existing database systems and recommend improvements;
i) to build automation scripts for managing database infrastructure;
j) to assist in identifying and mitigating system vulnerabilities;
k) to assist in the patch management process;
l) to conduct security administrative tasks, such as implementing access controls and managing user privileges;
m) to maintain and review audit logs;
n) to monitor threat intelligence sources and stay updated on emerging security threats;
o) to operate and maintain security tools and systems such as intrusion detection and prevention systems; and
p) to perform IT related tasks assigned by the IT Manager and IT Officer.

| Requirements |
Experience with aviation maintenance information system, such as Rusada Envision and Integrated Aviation Software, or equivalent, will be an advantage. The Specified Business Area mentioned in the requirement of "Proj't Devpt Exp in Spec'd Business Area" refers to aviation maintenance information system.
The appointed staff will work mainly in HQ and other work locations when necessary.
Work Location details:
Headquarters (HQ), Hong Kong International Airport
Kai Tak Division (KTD), former Kai Tak Airport runway
HKCEC Heliport, Wanchai
On-site or remote support outside normal office hours is required when necessary, which will be recompensed by time-off in lieu.
Technical Skills:
. At least 6 years' experience in Microsoft SQL Server (MSS);
. At least 6 years' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL);
. At least 5 years' experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SRS);
. At least 3 years' experience in IT Security (ITS);
. At least 3 years' experience in Security Risk Assessment (SRA).
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 4 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS);
. Good written English is a must;
. At least 4 years' experience in project development in specified business areas (PDE);
. At least 4 years' experience in vendor management (VMG).
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
