Project Nature (T26) The Systems and Information Management Section is responsible for the support, development and administration of the information management systems, including CloudSAMS. At present, about 970 secondary, primary and special schools are using CloudSAMS. Key modules of CloudSAMS include School Management, Student Attendance, Assessment and Reporting, HKEAA, Communication and Delivery System, Standalone Timetabling Tool, etc.. In addition, the Section takes the lead in the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the Education Information System (EdIS) and provides user support to all EDB staff using EdIS.
Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the EDB;
- To maintain and update the records for all computer equipment within the Section;
- To set up, test, and retrieve IT equipment (e.g., computers, projectors, audio systems) for meetings and ensure their proper storage afterward;
- To perform regular physical inventory checks of all computer equipment, accessories, and software in the Section;
- To monitor inventory levels of IT consumables and initiate replenishment requests when necessary;
- To provide support in coordinating with vendors, suppliers or service providers for IT equipment repairs, scheduled maintenance, deliveries and related follow-ups;
- To process the write-off and disposal of obsolete or non-functional equipment, accessories and software;
- To provide IT technical support, assist with IT-related tasks, and handle associated administrative duties for the Section;
- To conduct regular maintenance checks on IT equipment; and
- To perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements - At least 4 years of experience fielding and resolving IT-related phone enquiries (e.g. Two-Factor Authentication, access issues);
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in providing technical support for office environments is preferred;
- Computer knowledge preferably in MS Office Excel and Chinese Processing;
- Good communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders; and
- Self-motivated, hardworking and able to work independently.
Technical Skills:
. At least 1 year's experience in Chinese Processing (CHI);
. At least 1 year's experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT);
. At least 1 year's experience in Windows 7/8/10 (W10);
. 1 year's experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 1 year's experience in customer relations (ECR);
. At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. At least 1 year's experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS);
. At least 6 months' experience in IT procurement (PRO);
. Good coordination skills is an advantage;
. Good written English is an advantage.
- At least Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including Chinese and English Language in HKDSEE or Grade E or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese and English Language (Syl B) in HKCEE or equivalent;
- At least 2 years'relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
