(T26) To provide IT support and advice on the system implementation of Immigration Control System (ICONS) of the Immigration Department (ImmD)

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the ImmD;
(a) To provide support and advice on the implementation of ICONS at Lok Ma Chau Loop (LMC Loop);
(b) To provide IT support and advice for the system enhancement of the mobile application of ICONS;
(c) To provide support on the development and implementation of the file-based batch job application of ICONS;
(d) To perform diagnosis with the contractors on technical issues and monitor the progress of remedial actions;
(e) To review project deliverables and monitor the performance of the contractors; and
(f) To perform other duties required for meeting the department's business need.

| Requirements |
- Solid experience in development and implementation of file-based batch job application;
- Proficiency in Java and Unix Shell Scripting;
- Good knowledge in mobile application development lifecycle;
- Experience in integrating mobile application with iAM Smart is preferred;
- Experience with Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) or similar enterprise scheduling tools is preferred;
- The Contract staff is required to take up on-call duty;
- The Contract Staff will normally work at the ImmD offices in Tseung Kwan O, and occasionally provide support at various Immigration control points and offices;
- The Contract Staff will have to work outside normal office hours occasionally to meet the operational needs; and
- Criminal record check is required.
Technical Skills:
. At least 3 years' experience in IT Application Development and Management (ADM);
. At least 3 years' experience in batch job monitoring (BJM);
. At least 3 years' experience in JAVA Programming (JAV);
. At least 3 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS).
Non-technical Skill:
. At least 2 years' experience in quality assurance (QAS).
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
