Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the CSD; The proposed staff shall be responsible for performing the IT infrastructure and server farm upgrade and maintenance, and IT security implementation for CSD IT Infrastructure. The tasks include, but not limited to, the followings: (a) Support the setup of new IT infrastructure and server farms, including integration with existing CSD network infrastructure, in full compliance with government IT security policies and standards. (b) Perform VM farm upgrades, migrations, backup/restore operations, and expansions with minimal service disruption. (c) Monitor IT infrastructure health, resource utilization, and security metrics to detect and address alerts promptly. (d) Execute maintenance tasks for IT infrastructure, including security patching, software updates, and related activities. (e) Provide expert IT advice on technology standards, government IT security policy compliance, and industry best practices. (f) Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, changes, incidents, and asset records. (g) Support infrastructure testing and assist with periodic disaster recovery exercises. (h) Provide on-call production support and maintenance services, which may require working outside normal office hours. (i) Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 3.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements (1) The proposed staff must have solid working experience in: (a) Support and maintain high-availability system infrastructure. (b) Proven expertise in server farm and systems management, event management, with hands-on proficiency in VMware and vCenter required. (c) Site preparation and readiness. (d) Familiarity with IT infrastructure components and operations in enterprise environments. (e) Coordination of vendor support. (2) Good documentation, analytical and problem troubleshooting skill; (3) Good command in verbal and written communication in both English and Chinese; (4) Disciplined, self-motivated, independent, able to work under pressure, fast learning and good team player; (5) Undergoing integrity check by HKPF is required. Technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM); . At least 2 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT); . At least 1 year's experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12); . At least 1 year's experience in System Backup Operation (BKO); . 1 year's experience in Data Encryption Technology (DET) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in IT Security (ITS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Linux System Administration (LIN) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . Good coordination skills is a must; . At least 1 year's experience in event management (EMG); . At least 1 year's experience in shift work (SFT); . At least 1 year's experience in site preparation (SPE); . 1 year's experience in vendor management (VMG) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in managing Government IT standards (ITG) is an advantage; . Good written English is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
