| Project Nature |
(T26) 1. Network Re-structure of Headquarter and Branch Offices and to acquire up-to-date cost effective and resilient WAN services to connect all TD offices;
2. Support and provide ad-hoc network communication services for Transport Department in major public events;
3. Automate Network support routine to enable smooth workflow for network changes request and automatic configuration changes management;
4. Build new TD Network structure to isolate individual systems while also provide central GNET connectivity for each systems.
5. Manage all network facilities to support business continuity and to eliminate the issue of single point of failure in current TD network infrastructure;
6. Deploy open source solutions and explore new network products and technologies;
7. Implement up to device-level network monitoring system for security and potential threat alerts; and
8. Align resources to provide 7x24 professional network services

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the TD;
1. Manage and Implement IT Infrastructure related projects;
2. Plan, manage and analyze existing computer network and its expansion;
3. Assure network services quality with respect to performance, reliability and flexibility;
4. Provide technical advice and support to IT infrastructure, application systems and security;
5. Deployment of network management best practices and formulate IT infrastructure support policies, standards and procedures;
6. Implement change management;
7. Monitor services level of various Internet, WAN and GNET related services; and
8. Supervise and manage subordinate IT staff.

| Requirements |
1. Possess at least nine years post-qualification IT experience of which five years must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity to this vacancy;
2. Previous work experience in supporting network services in departments of HKSARG;
3. Extensive software development experience of various categories of applications, including client-server, multi-tier, web-based and mobile platforms is preferred;
4. Familiarity with network technologies with particular on highly distributed data network environment;
5. Previous experience in the implementation of systems and network resilience;
6. Knowledgeable to adopt and develop appropriate systems and network monitoring facilities; and
7. Good IT management, change management practices and project management skills.
Technical Skills:
. At least 7 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF);
. At least 7 years' experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT);
. At least 7 years' experience in Metro-Ethernet Network (MNE);
. At least 7 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM);
. At least 7 years' experience in IT Operational Management (OPM);
. At least 7 years' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM);
. 4 years' experience in IT Application Development and Management (ADM) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 7 years' experience in project management (PRM);
. At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. At least 4 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS);
. At least 4 years' experience in managing Government projects (MGP);
. 4 years' experience in IT service/outsourcing management (OUT) is an advantage;
. 4 years' experience in IT Service Management (SMG) is an advantage;
. 4 years' experience in tender preparation and administration (TPA) is an advantage;
. 4 years' experience in vendor management (VMG) is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 9 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 5 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
