Job Key No 38551 Job Title/ Category Contract Analyst Programmer (Bid Ref 59050-1) Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Others Nature Contract Deadline 24 Mar 2026 Contract Period 01 May 2026 to 31 Jan 2027 (9 months) Payroll under InfoTech Employer Business Government T26 Contract Location Base At Hydrographic Office, Government Dockyard, Stonecutters Island, Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong (Note) Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) To analyze, design, implement and support East Asia Regional Electronic Navigational Charts Coordination Centre (EA-RECC)'s Internet/Intranet web applications, database design and some GIS related applications Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the MD; To develop, implement and support EA-RECC's Internet/Intranet web applications, database design and some GIS related applications including but not limited to:- - Systems design and developments of web applications built on JavaScript, PHP, HTML platforms - Design and develop of data flow/control (upload and download) on web application - Conduct program testing, system testing and developing systematic test cases to support user acceptance test - Conduct quality assurance, verification and rectification of data in validation process and applications - Prepare and maintain program documentation (e.g. data and function specifications, etc.) to support system enhancement and bug fixing - Assist in preparing project reports and specifications - Assist in migration of local web-hosting service to public cloud platform - Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 6.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 4.0 Requirements - Holder of a degree awarded by a university in Hong Kong or a degree awarded by an overseas education institution to a Hong Kong resident, or equivalent - The degree shall be related to Geomatics Engineering, Geographic Information Science, Computer Science, Information Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent - Have at least 3 years post qualification information technology experience of which 2 year in the capacity of analyst/programmer - At least 2 year experience in web programming - Experience in Java and XML will be advantageous - Knowledge of and experience in database design, Geographical Information System (GIS) and application development will be advantageous - Knowledge of cloud computing technologies on various cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, AliCloud, Google Cloud) will be advantageous - Possess strong sense of analytical and problem solving skills Note: Transportation from Prince Edward and Mei Foo MTR stations would be provided Technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in HTML5 (HT5); . At least 4 years' experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP); . At least 4 years' experience in PHP programming (PHP); . At least 4 years' experience in Web Programming (WEB); . At least 3 years' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL). Non-technical Skill: . At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
