Job Key No 38527 Job Title/ Category Contract Analyst Programmer (Bid Ref 59014-1) Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Others Nature Contract Deadline 23 Mar 2026 Contract Period 20 May 2026 to 31 Jan 2027 (8 months) Payroll under InfoTech Employer Business Government T26 Contract Location Base Room E201, East Block, EDB Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) 1) Development/Enhancement, operation and maintenance of the Special Education Management Information System (SEMIS) and the Special Education Information Hub (SE InfoHub) 2) Development and maintenance of a repository for data management Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the EDB; 1) To be responsible for the daily operation of and maintenance of SEMIS/SE InfoHub 2) To assist in liaison and coordination with other divisions/sections regarding SEMIS/SE InfoHub operation and development; 3) To assist in preparing analysis and reports on data collecting from database systems of EDB; 4) To assist in producing statistics in respect of provisions for primary schools to various sections within EDB as well as external parties outside EDB; 5) To develop and maintain a digital repository for data management; 6) To perform user administration tasks for SEMIS/SE InfoHub such as setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords, ensuring network security and connectivity, monitoring evaluating network/system performance, etc.; 7) To design the interface for data input of e-forms, and to generate statistics figures for reporting and review purpose; 8) To assist in developing and enhancing an EDB portal for transfer of Comprehensive Development Progress Report for Pre-school Children entering Primary One extended from SEMIS; 9) To provide technical support for SEMIS/SE InfoHub users when required; and 10) To perform any other pertinent duties as assigned. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 3.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements 1) With at least 3 years post qualification information technology work experience in web application, programming, using programming languages and various support/development tools/environments such as JSP, Java, SQL, HTML, VBA, XML, OOA, Apache Tomcat and operating systems/platforms such as Microsoft Windows Server,Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Report Services and Microsoft Internet Information Services environments; 2) Knowledge of report generation using Sybase Powerbuilder or Infomaker is an advantage; Good working knowledge with Database related programming and software development; 3) Knowledge of video editing and education-related work experience is an advantage; and 4) Good interpersonal and communication skills; 5) Good spoken and written language skills.
