One of the core duties of the ITinE Section is to plan and organise Professional Development Programmes (PDPs) to provide training for school leaders and teachers and Centre of Excellence (CoE) support services in relation to Digital Education. With the advancement of information technology, schools have widerly integrated e-learning tools and software into their regular practices, which caused the increasing demand for PDPs, CoE support services, webinars and online self-learning courses to strengthen teachers' capabilities in technology-enhanced teaching, including AI-assisted approaches. A programmer will be engaged to develop and maintain a system for managing relevant data and provide reports for better planning for the section, as well as to provide support during the webinars and assist in production of online self-learning courses, and Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the EDB; 1. To render advice and support on technical matters related to wired / wireless network infrastructure and IT security though phone enquires and visits to schools. 2. To render advice on the latest development in the use of information technology for the learning and teaching. 3. To render technical advice to schools on conducting the procurement exercises for renewing of WiFi services. 4. To assess IT security alerts forwarded by ITMD and HKCERT to ITinE Section, and prepare related IT security alerts with incident handling procedures for schools' reference via email and EDB web page. 5. To design and produce learning and teaching resources, including graphic design materials, videos, and infographics in the form of brochures or posters, for schools. 6. To assist in developing a system related to framework of essential skills on IT in education for teachers. 7. To assist in production of online self-learning courses. 8. To assist in drafting technical specifications of quotations for training courses for technical support staffs (TSS), as well as to provide comments on the comments on the content of the courseware prepared by the contractor. 9. To assist in conducting on-going review and update of the "Information Security in Schools - Recommended Practice". 10. To monitor the maintenance and configuration of difference network devices (e.g. NAS and Firewall) in the section. 11. To assist in developing a system to maintain the data of PDPs and support services provided by the section. 12. To assist in reviewing, designing, developing and updating EDB webpages to promote digital education, information literacy and e-safety for schools. 13. To assist in reviewing, designing, developing and updating web content, documents, media resources, etc. to enhance language accessibility of the EDB website. 14. To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 2.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements The Programmer is requried to work during office hours normally, but may be required to work outside normal office hours including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as and when required. He/she has to provide technical advice and support to schools and teachers on setting up relevant facilities to implement the blended mode of teaching and learning, as well as new initiative related to e-learning. Details are outlined in the above section on "Job Description". Site visits to the schools have to be conducted if necessary. Technical Skills: . At least 6 months' experience in Information Security Management (ISM); . At least 6 months' experience in IT Security (ITS); . At least 6 months' experience in JAVA Programming (JAV); .
