Job Key No 36138 Job Title/ Category Contract Network Specialist (CAT3) (Bid Ref 56600-2) Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Others Nature Contract Deadline 22 Dec 2025 Contract Period 02 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026 (11 months) Payroll under InfoTech Employer Business Government T26 Contract Location Base Admiralty, may be required to work in other office locations supported by SB ITMU Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) Network and Infrastructure Administrator Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the SBU; The appointed staff is required to: a) Design, implement, administer, maintain and secure network and infrastructure of the organisation; b) Ensure high availability, performance and security of network systems, Windows/Linux servers, virtualisation platforms, storage systems and backup solutions while supporting business operations and scalability goals; c) Implement IT security control, ensuring network and infrastructure compliance with Government policies and guidelines, industry security standards and audit requirements; d) Perform vulnerability assessments, patch management, change management, incident response and disaster recovery planning for network and infrastructure components; e) Maintain detailed documentation of network topology, configurations, procedures and guidelines, and disaster recovery plans; f) Handle procurement exercises, administration of contracts and monitoring of the performance of contractors; g) Participate in project system design life cycle (SDLC) (i.e. systems analysis & design, system implementation, vendor monitoring, IT security risk assessment & audit, system maintenance & support, end-user IT support, progress reporting, etc.) and other administrative works for different IT projects of the organisation; h) Liaise with different parties including end users, contractors, stakeholders, etc. to support new deployments and migrations; i) Conduct research, proof-of-concept, and deployment of new network security technologies to strengthen the organisation&;#8217;s security posture; j) Perform any other duties assigned by his/her supervisors. Types of technical areas include, but are not limited to, network/system architecture, departmental LAN/WAN, CMMP, Active Directory, GOA systems, Windows system, Linux system, virtualisation system, virtual private network, end-point security system and other Government-wide applications. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 6.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 3.0 Requirements - Shall have valid certificate of Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and/or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE); - Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in network and infrastructure administration; - Solid hands-on experience in Windows & Linux servers / Active Directory, VMware virtualization, LAN/WAN networking, network device management, network detection and response systems and PC management; - Experience in managing network security solutions and endpoint IT security solutions. - Experience in IT security risk assessment & audit. - Familiar with Government IT security policies and guidelines; - Experience in mainland IT products is preferred; Other requirements: - Required to work for departments supported by SB ITMU. The locations include Admiralty, Wanchai, North Point, Homantin, Kwun Tong, Kowloon Bay, Chek Lap Kok, Sha Tau Kok, etc. - Able to perform under pressure, willing to work after office hours and occasionally working on an on-call 24/7 basis as required. - Show initiatives, good analytical and problem-solving skills - Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills - Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese - Need to carry pager/mobile phone to provide ad-hoc supports Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP); . At least 3 years' experience in IT Security (ITS); . At least 3 years' experience in Router Configuration (ROU); . At least 3 years' experience in TCP/IP (TCP); . At least 3 years' experience in Virtual LAN/LAN Switching (VLS); . At least 3 years' experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN); . At least 3 years' experience in Networking (NET); . At least 3 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM); . 2 years' experience in PC LAN Support (PLS) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Metro Ethernet (MET) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Network Design (NDN) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Data/File Backup Technology (DFT) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Microsoft Active Directory Administration (ADA) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS); . At least 3 years' experience in site preparation (SPE); . At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV); . 1 year's experience in vendor management (VMG) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in IT procurement (PRO) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in customer service (CLS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in customer relations (ECR) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
