(T26) Provide Windows/Linux server support in Hong Kong Police Force

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKPF;
1. Assist in providing routine support to HKPF's desktop infrastructure including Windows and Linux servers and related hardware and software;
2. Assist in developing and maintaining script (e.g. Shell script, Python or similar) to automate system tasks, monitoring, and deployments;
3. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issue in Linux environment;
4. Assist collaborating with development teams or vendors to deploy, configure and support application in Linux servers;
5. Monitor performance to reduce interruptions and server crashes;
6. Assist in routine support of Video Management System with Linux-based servers and infrastructure

| Requirements |
1. Experience in supporting and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux Server;
2. Experience in programming or scripting (e.g. Shell script, Python or similar);
3. Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware, KVM, Docker)
4. Basic knowledge of Video Management System architecture and video streaming protocol is a plus
5. Experience with Kylin Server OS and UOS Server OS is a plus
6. Security vetting is required.
Technical Skills:
. At least 2 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN);
. At least 2 years' experience in Remote Access Server (RAS);
. At least 2 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT);
. At least 2 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS).
Non-technical Skills:
. Good Putonghua is a must;
. 6 months' experience in vendor management (VMG) is an advantage.
- At least Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including Chinese and English Language in HKDSEE or Grade E or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese and English Language (Syl B) in HKCEE or equivalent;
- At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 5 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
