(T26) Government Communication Network (GCN) is a common service provided by DPO for email exchange among various Government Bureaux/Departments (B/Ds) and Government-related organisations connected to Government Backbone Network (GNET) based on Domino/Notes technology as well as Centrally Managed Messaging Platform (CMMP). Besides, GCN also helps to route the Internet mails to and from Internet Mail Exchange system of DPO such that users at B/Ds can receive and send Internet mails using their internal Notes and Outlook client.
Other services provided by GCN include instant messaging service and directory consolidation service. GCN servers are installed with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server as the operating systems and Domino/Notes as the application software.

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DPO;
a) Provide daily technical support and maintenance on GCN system including mail routing and directory consolidation based on Domino/Notes technologies;
b) Customize Domino servers and Notes agents for various services;
c) Provide support to directory synchronization in GCN and other Government services via Notes and LDAP technology;
d) Support the SMTP-based Internet mail exchange service of GCN;
e) Offer 7x24 on-call support in case of system problems, and render daily support to resolve user problems while using GCN services;
f) Handle server virtualization and infrastructure upgrade for patching the systems with up-to-date version; and
g) Provide technical support to the GCN network including router and switches.

| Requirements |
The candidate should have solid experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Domino servers and Notes clients, including mail routing, extended directory catalog, Notes agent programming, Notes directory replication process and data exchange with other LDAP directories. The candidate should also have solid experience to install, configure and troubleshoot SUSE Linux Enterprise Servers in conjunction with common infrastructure technologies including server virtualization, storage backup and restoration.
The candidate should be capable of installing, configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers and switches. The candidate should also be capable of configuring and troubleshooting SMTP mail routing with Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Domain Name System (DNS).
The candidate to be engaged will be required to conduct criminal record checking for security vetting purpose.
Technical Skills:
. At least 3 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN);
. At least 3 years' experience in Lotus Notes Mail Admin. & Technical Support (LNM);
. At least 3 years' experience in Lotus Notes Administration & Technical Support (LON);
. At least 3 years' experience in Networking (NET);
. 2 years' experience in Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) is an advantage;
. 2 years' experience in LDAP Application Programming (LDA) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 1 year's experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS);
. 2 years' experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT) is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
