Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) The SIM Section is responsible for the support, development and administration of the information management systems, one of which is the system named "CloudSAMS". At present, about 970 secondary, primary and special schools in the territory are using CloudSAMS. Key modules of CloudSAMS include School Management, School Activities Management, School Places Allocation, Student Attendance, Student Activities, Award and Punishment, Assessment and Reporting, Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA), Institute Application, Staff, Communication and Delivery System, Standalone Timetabling Tool, etc. To support school users in using CloudSAMS, regular training activities and an online repository, CloudSAMS Central Document Repository (CDR) are provided. Another system, namely "FITS", aims to provide a communication channel between the Education Bureau (EDB), schools and third parties in real-time exchange. Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the EDB; - To man FITS/SMM hotline - To provide technical support for enhancements to CloudSAMS and FITS including collecting requirements, assisting and preparing relevant User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and vetting documentation; - To perform data analysis and data mining; - To assist in the liaison with system developers, other sections of the EDB, schools and relevant parties on CloudSAMS; - To support the Section on IT technical matters, IT related tasks and administration work; and - To take up any other duties as assigned. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 0.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 5.0 Requirements - Experience in control and operation of computer systems; - Experience in assisting and preparing UAT / conducting pre-UAT; - Strong analytical and communication skills; and - Self-motivated, hardworking and able to work independently. Technical Skills: . At least 6 months' experience in HTML version before HTML5 (HTM); . At least 6 months' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM); . At least 6 months' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL); . 6 months' experience in Sybase (SYB) is an advantage; . 6 months' experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 1 year's experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT); . At least 6 months' experience in software testing (STM); . 6 months' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage; . Good written English is an advantage; . 6 months' experience in site preparation (SPE) is an advantage. - At least Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including Chinese and English Language in HKDSEE or Grade E or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese and English Language (Syl B) in HKCEE or equivalent; - At least 5 years'relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
