Project Nature (T26) To provide IT support and advice to projects related to upgrade/replacement of government office automation (GOA) related applications and systems, other Government applications, setup/configurations of workstations and notebooks and deployment of security updates and endpoint solutions as well as related administration and helpdesk for the Treasury Branch, Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (TsyB).
Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the FSTB-TB;
An Analyst/ Programmer (AP) will be responsible for providing IT support and advice to projects related to GOA applications and systems, workstations, notebooks and mobile phone setup/configurations, other Government applications and deployment of security updates and endpoint solutions as well as user, system and network administration and helpdesk services to users. The AP may be required to provide on-call support outside normal office hours, to work at irregular hours and during weekends/public holidays occasionally, and to perform duties in other Government offices inside and outside CGO. The AP is mainly deployed to perform the following duties:
1. To assist in providing IT support and advice to all phases of project implementation;
2. To assist in coordinating and liaising with project stakeholders and other concerned parties from both business and technical aspects;
3. To assist in compiling manuals, guidelines and other documents and to ensure that complete and up-to-date records are in place;
4. To provide IT support and trouble-shooting to end users, including directorate officers on all office automation services;
5. To assist in user and system administration and provide operational support on (including system backup) GOA LAN, email systems, VPN remote access and Wi-Fi Network;
6. To assist in helpdesk support of Government application systems used by the Treasury Branch and other B/Ds;
7. To assist in product evaluation, and preparation of requirement specification and assessment of proposals of IT products and services;
8. To assist in monitoring the performance of outsource contractors;
9. To assist in acceptance of computer and network equipment and conducting acceptance tests of new/enhanced systems;
10. To assist in deploying software patches/updates and anti-virus updates; and
11. To perform other IT-related duties as required.

Requirements 1. Knowledge and experience in project implementation and support of office automation systems;
2. Knowledge and experience in helpdesk support of major systems;
3. Knowledge and experience in network administration and management; and
4. Knowledge and experience in support of financial-related systems.
Technical Skills:
. At least 4 years' experience in PC LAN Support (PLS);
. At least 4 years' experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN);
. At least 4 years' experience in Wireless and Mobile (WLM);
. At least 1 year's experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM);
. 3 years' experience in Router Configuration (ROU) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in Microsoft Active Directory Administration (ADA) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in Anti-Virus Technology (AVT) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in System Backup with Bightstor ArcServe (BAS) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in Data/File Backup Technology (DFT) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in IT Security (ITS) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in Lotus Notes Administration & Technical Support (LON) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. 4 years' experience in customer service (CLS) is an advantage;
. 4 years' experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
