IBS is an Internet bandwidth service similar to the service of typical Internet Service Providers (ISPs). It facilitates Government B/Ds to deliver web applications / systems via the Internet and enables the web applications / systems to be accessible from the Internet through the network connection provided. IBS provides a channel for the Government to disseminate information and to communicate with the community at large. The IBS network acts as a single entrance of Internet for the Central Computer Centre Network Services (CCCNS), which provides Internet access to most of the Government central services like the Internet Mail Exchange (IMX) Service, Government Cloud Infrastructure Service (GCIS), and other government systems / applications that are hosted in the Central Computer Centres of DPO. Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DPO; 1. Provide on-going technical support and system administration services to IBS including the Border router network infrastructure connecting to the Internet, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation services and also the Intrusion Detection and Protection System (IDPS) to ensure a reliable and robust service to be provided to the IBS clients. 2. Perform daily operations, including but not limited to network configuration changes, upgrades, incident and problem handling, system resilience tests, performance monitoring, packet capture for troubleshooting and NetStream data analysis. 3. Provide technical advice and support on Internet related issues for IBS such as the assignment of public IP addresses and security measures against cyber attacks. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements 1. Experience in network system administration, network security management and network performance monitoring. 2. In-depth knowledge of various Internet network technologies including BGP protocol, Internet router configuration, SNMP, Network Quality Analysis, RPKI and NetStream. 3. Experience in supporting multiple Internet Service Provider (ISP) connections and routers directly connecting to Hong Kong Internet Exchange (HKIX). 4. Experience in supporting and configuration of DDoS mitigation services such as network traffic re-routing and IP blackholing. 5. Working experience in HKSARG is preferable. 6. Knowledge and experience in the implementation and/or support of HKSARG network infrastructure is an added advantage. Criminal record verification by the Hong Kong Police Force is required. Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP); . At least 3 years' experience in Huawei VRP & Huawei Products (HAU); . At least 3 years' experience in Intrusion Prevention System (IPS); . At least 3 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM); . At least 3 years' experience in Router Configuration (ROU). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
