Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the CSD; The proposed staff shall be responsible for performing the IT infrastructure and server farm upgrade, restructure and maintenance, and IT security implementation for the project of iCRMS and IT Infrastructure. The tasks include, but not limited to, the followings: (a) Support the setup of new IT Infrastructure and server farm, together with its integration of the existing CSD's network infrastructure in compliance with the governments IT security policy and standards; (b) Perform VM farm upgrades, migrations, backup/restore and expansions with minimal service disruption; (c) Monitor healthiness, resources utilization and security metrics of IT infrastructure to capture any alerts in timely manner; (d) Perform maintenance tasks of VM farms including apply of security, software update, etc; (e) Provide IT advice in respect of information technology standards, compliance to government IT security policy and best practices and; (f) Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 3.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements (1) The proposed staff must have working experience in:- (a) high availability network infrastructure design and implementation; (b) server farm, system and network management, event management, hands-on and professional competency on VMware and vCenter is a must; and (c) site preparation; (2) Good communication skills (3) Good command of Chinese and English (4) Self-motivated, independent, diligent, polite, pro-active, fast learning and good team player. (5) Working at remote correctional facilities for provision of support services as and when required. (6) Undergoing integrity check by HKPF is required. Technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF); . At least 2 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM); . At least 2 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT); . At least 2 years' experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12); . At least 2 years' experience in Wide Area Network (WAN); . At least 1 year's experience in Video Conference Technology (VCT); . At least 1 year's experience in Virtual LAN/LAN Switching (VLS); . At least 1 year's experience in Anti-Virus Technology (AVT); . At least 1 year's experience in System Backup Operation (BKO); . At least 1 year's experience in Data/File Backup Technology (DFT); . At least 1 year's experience in Wireless/mobile Email solution (WME); . At least 1 year's experience in Network Design (NDN); . 1 year's experience in Windows NT Server Administration & Network Support (WNT) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Data Encryption Technology (DET) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in IT Security (ITS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Linux System Administration (LIN) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Wireless and Mobile (WLM) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Proxy Server (PRS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Remote Access Server (RAS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Router Configuration (ROU) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Storage Area Network (SAN) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 1 year's experience in event management (EMG); . At least 1 year's experience in shift work (SFT); . At least 1 year's experience in site preparation (SPE); . 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in managing Government IT standards (ITG) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
