Job Key No 35569 Job Title/ Category Contract Systems Analyst (Bid Ref 55962-1) Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Others Nature Contract Deadline 25 Sep 2025 Contract Period 31 Oct 2025 to 31 Jan 2027 (15 months) Payroll under InfoTech Employer Business Government T26 Contract Location Base Wanchai Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) "Wi-Fi Connected City Programme" - Provision of public Wi-Fi services in the public areas Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DPO; i) To assist the project manager to liaise with contractors/service providers to implement public Wi-Fi services at smart lampposts, footbridges, parks, promenade and pedestrian tunnels under Government-funded and public-private collaboration (PPC) arrangement. ii) To assist the assessment of smart lampposts on the feasibility and the cost-effectiveness of providing public Wi-Fi services. iii) To liaise with contractors and the vendor of smart lamppost on the technical design, installation and on-going maintenance arrangement to fulfil the related requirements set out by Highways Department. iv) To liaise with the owners of smart devices installed / to be installed on smart lampposts to ensure proper share use of common components, if any. v) To lead sub-team of contract analyst programmers to implement and deploy the public Wi-Fi services at various government venues and public areas. vi) To liaise with contractors to prepare the technical proposals for Wi-Fi installation in accordance to guidelines set out by the Government. vii) To pay visits to various government venues and liaise with venue manager to review and approve the technical proposals for Wi-Fi installation. viii) To handle complaints and enquiries from the public regarding the Government-funded and PPC Wi-Fi services. ix) To assist in overseeing the on-going operation of the Government-funded and PPC Wi-Fi services including the monitoring of the availability and performance of the services. x) To support contract administration of the Government-funded Wi-Fi services. xi) To assist in preparing work assignment briefs for new Government-funded Wi-Fi services acquisitions, and requirement specifications for acquisitions of software and hardware for daily operations. xii) To provide technical and general support on coordination and communication with Government bureaux and departments, preparation of management briefs and reports including statistical reports and others. xiii) To assist in providing relevant information and input for the promotion of the Wi-Fi.HK brand. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements i) At least 4 years' hands-on experience in implementation of Wireless Technology related project, including hands-on experience in various aspects of Wi-Fi services implementation, such as venue inspection and assessment for public Wi-Fi services provision, Wi-Fi network system design, technical proposal review and service acceptance, etc. ii) Has exposure in Wi-Fi hardware, software and testing equipment. iii) At least 4 years' experience in site preparation, including the experience of verifying / designing of trunking & cabling system, power points and liaising with the users on the coverage requirements, etc. iv) Hands-on experience in Wi-Fi system for smart lampposts or other smart device implementation. v) Hands-on experience on site preparation in government venues, smart lampposts, footbridges, parks, promenade, pedestrian tunnels, etc. is desirable. vi) Work experience with vendors of smart lampposts or smart devices is desirable. vii) Work experience in the Government is desirable. viii) Highly desirable to be familiar with the government procedures and code of practices for setting up public Wi-Fi and for provision of access facilities in buildings for the supply of telecommunications and broadcasting services in public streets and government lands/premises. ix) Has knowledge of and experience in preparation of technical proposals, guidelines, papers and reports of Wi-Fi services, and provide secretariat support to project/systems manager. x) At least 4 years' experience in Internet/Intranet technologies. xi) Good writing, communication and organisational skills. Technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in Network Design (NDN); . At least 4 years' experience in Wide Area Network (WAN); . At least 4 years' experience in Wireless Technology (WLT); . 1 year's experience in Wireless and Mobile (WLM) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Networking (NET) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in project management (PRM); . At least 4 years' experience in site preparation (SPE); . At least 3 years' experience in vendor management (VMG); . Good coordination skills is a must; . 1 year's experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in negotiation (NEG) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in IT procurement (PRO) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in contract administration (CON) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
