(T26) Programming supports for the climate database for climatological information services.

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKO;
Provide programming support for routine tasks and enhancements related to climate database and intranet/internet services pages:
(i) to assess and utilize the 1-minute and hourly Oracle databases;
(ii) to maintain and enhance the Climate Information Ranking System (CIRS);
(iii) to maintain and enhance the internet Climatological Information Services (CIS) webpage;
(iv) to maintain and deploy updates on NAS system;
(v) ad hoc script / programming for data preparation/analysis; and
(vi) to prepare relevant documents.

| Requirements |
Oracle database management;
Webpage design and implementation;
Programming languages: Fortran, C, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Structured Query Language (SQL);
Other skills: Familiar with OS for Window PC, Linux, IBM server, Synology NAS, Virtual Machine.
Technical Skills:
. At least 6 months' experience in Experience in C# programming (C#P);
. At least 6 months' experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP);
. At least 6 months' experience in JAVA Programming (JAV);
. At least 6 months' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN);
. At least 6 months' experience in PHP programming (PHP);
. At least 6 months' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL);
. At least 6 months' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS).
Non-technical Skill:
. At least 6 months' experience in work with the Government (GOV).
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
