To set up additional servers of existing IRD mission critical systems to tie in with the implementation of the Digital Corporate Identity (CorpID) project; 2. To perform and lead subordinates to arrange patching of software, particularly in the area of DB2 database, on the mission critical systems as according to the planned schedule; 3. To manage the system integration among various application systems; 4. To perform and lead subordinates to install, setup, configure, test and support various system and application software; 5. To perform and lead subordinates to manage software vendors on system installation, setup, support, performance tuning, capacity planning, testing and problem solving; 6. To perform and lead subordinates to provide on-going system administration, enhancement, maintenance, capacity planning and management, performance tuning, testing, technical support and problem solving for the mission critical systems; 7. To maintain system documentation (e.g. system specifications and inventory records); and 8. To perform any other duties assigned by supervisors. The candidate should have solid hands-on experience in DB2 database administration,Unix/ Linux shell scripting; support and problem solving, system performance monitoring and tuning in Windows and cloud platforms; 2. It is preferable that the candidate has hands-on experience in using at least one of following technologies: (i) MySQL; (ii) JBoss; and (iii) InfoSphere Change Data Capture sofware. 3. The candidate is required to (i) lead subordinates and work with other project teams to complete the required tasks; (ii) occasionally work in non-office hours including Saturday, Sunday and public holidays; (iii) work independently; and (iv) carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s). Technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in DB2 Administration (DBA); . At least 4 years' experience in DB2 Database Tuning (DBT); . At least 4 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS); . At least 4 years' experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12); . At least 2 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN); . 2 years' experience in MySQL (MSQ) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in JBoss Application Server (JAS) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV); . At least 2 years' experience in managing Government projects (MGP); . 1 year's experience in vendor management (VMG) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 8 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
