It facilitates over 100 projects of Government B/Ds to deliver web applications via the Internet to the general public. IBS provides a channel for the Government to communicate with the community at large. The IBS network acts as a single entrance of Internet for many Government central services like the Internet Mail Exchange (IMX) Service, Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS), and other government systems / applications. Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DPO; 1. Provide on-going technical support to IBS infrastructure to ensure its performance, reliability and stability. The duties include but not limited to network configuration changes, maintenance of network switches, routers and firewalls, incident and problem handling, system resilience tests, system healthiness and performance monitoring. 2. Provide technical advice on network design and configuration for the B/Ds users for using the IBS. 3. Troubleshoot network problems with B/D users in day-to-day operations. 4. Liaise with B/Ds users on the cost contribution arrangement in using the IBS. 5. The staff may also be required to work in non-office hours occasionally for system maintenance, system enhancement and fire-fighting incidents. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements 1. Solid experience in network system administration, network security management and network performance monitoring. 2. In-depth knowledge of various network technologies including Border Gateway Protocol, Metro Ethernet, network switch and firewall administration, router configuration, SNMP and NetFlow. 3. Customer support experience and good communication skills. 4. Knowledge and experience in the implementation and/or support of HKSARG network infrastructure is an added advantage. Criminal record verification by the Hong Kong Police Force is required Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP); . At least 3 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP); . At least 3 years' experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW); . At least 3 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF); . At least 3 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
