| Project Nature |
(T26) Application and operation support for the mission critical Automated Communication, Technical Information and Operations Network (ACTION) system of Architectural Services Department (ArchSD).

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the ArchSD;
Work with existing support team to provide Application maintenance and Operation support to the ACTION system, including but not limited to below areas:
- To provide production support including investigation of production incident.
- To perform system analysis, design and implement system enhancement of 1) java-based batch jobs, and 2) web-based online system with Apache Strut, Hiberate ORM and Spring Framework.
- To collect user requirement and support user acceptance test with users of various section of ArchSD.
- To coordinate with user and other ArchSD system support teams on interfacing and maintenance event.
- To update system documentation
- To monitor daily batch job status with IBM Workload Scheduler.

| Requirements |
Candidates are required to have solid working experience in System Implementation and Maintenance Support under the following software platform or environment:
1) Disaster Recovery Planning
2) Java Application Framework (Apache Strut, Hibernate (Object/Relational Mapping), Spring)
3) IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler
4) JasperReport
5) Linux Shell Scripting
6) Oracle RDBMS
Experience in below software platform is advantage of the candidate:
7) IBM Websphere Application server
8) Javascript programming
9) Oracle Database tuning
10) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) 11) XML
Technical Skills:
. At least 4 years' experience in Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP);
. At least 4 years' experience in Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS);
. At least 3 years' experience in Java Application Framework (e.g. Struts (Apache)) (JAF);
. At least 3 years' experience in Oracle RDBMS (ODB);
. At least 2 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS);
. 3 years' experience in WebSphere Application Server (WAS) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in XML (XML) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP) is an advantage;
. 3 years' experience in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is an advantage;
. 2 years' experience in Oracle Database Tuning (ODT) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. Good written English is a must;
. 3 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV) is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
