Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DEVB; - Administer the operation of network equipment and security devices in data centres. - Provide technical support on the network infrastructure, including network routers, access switches, firewalls, anti-virus system, Metro-Ethernet, Virtual Private Network, Intrusion Detection and Prevention System and Security Information and Event Management System, etc. - Provide technical support on the Internet services, including Internet access and Internet mail exchange - Provide technical advices, identify and rectify problems relating to the network infrastructure. - Carry out network reconfiguration in response to change requests. - Responsible for IT related procurement - Perform over-time work outside office hours or on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays occasionally - Carry out any other IT project related tasks and IT system maintenance/support tasks as assigned by ITMU of DEVB(WB). Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 7.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 2.0 Requirements - well-versed in H3C network routers and switches configuration - knowledge and experience in administration of network and security equipment - possession of certificate of Cisco Certified Network Professional or H3C Certified Network Engineer Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Anti-Virus Technology (AVT); . At least 3 years' experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT); . At least 3 years' experience in Router Configuration (ROU); . At least 3 years' experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN); . 3 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 5 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV); . 3 years' experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) is an advantage; . 3 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 7 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
