Automating desktop deployments using Windows Deployment Toolkit 2. Responsible for packaging of security patches and Office updates to ensure Windows remain up-to-date and protected against vulnerability 3. Administration, enhancement and support of the OA software for office work efficiency, e.g. adobe reader, Firefox browsers, and Chrome browsers 4. Oversee desktop OS life-cycle and solution evaluation and recommendation, as well as the development of both Windows and Linux based desktop OS 5. Responsible for advanced support for both Windows and Linux based desktop OS to ensure smooth running of internal applications 6. Monitor and maintain compliance with data centre policies and safety regulations 7. Liaise with IT and network team to ensure seamless integration and operation of new and existing server infrastructure 8. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to coordinate and facilitate server entry and installation within the data centre 9. Provide administration and support for server entry and installation within the government data centre Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 15.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 10.0 Requirements 1. In-depth knowledge and strong experience in Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2. In-depth knowledge and strong experience in Windows configuration, including Windows Registry Key, Group policy, certificates and unattended/silent installation of Windows operating systems 3. In-depth knowledge in both Windows and Linux based desktop OS hardening, including security patch, office patch, and software of data loss prevention 4. Strong experience in browser configuration in both Windows and Linux based desktop OS, including Firefox and Chrome 5. Experience in Windows installer creation, i.e. InnoSetup 6. Proficiency in Windows and Linux-based scripting, including PowerShell, VB Script, and shell script. Experience with python is an advantage 7. Knowledge in large deployment of Windows in-place upgrade is an advantage 8. Experience in managing server administration 9. Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and structured cabling 10. Knowledge of Firewalls, switches and storage systems is an advantage 11. Security vetting is required Technical Skills: . At least 6 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF); . At least 6 years' experience in PC LAN Support (PLS); . At least 6 years' experience in Windows 7/8/10 (W10); . At least 6 years' experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12); . At least 4 years' experience in Office Automation (OAN); . At least 2 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN); . At least 2 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS); . 1 year's experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 9 years' experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT); . At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 15 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 10 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
