(T26) Development of new IT systems; support, maintenance and enhancement of existing systems; support and administration of hardware and infrastructure.

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the EPD;
1. To support and maintain existing application systems;
2. To enhance systems including collection of user requirements for system analysis and design, conduct of programming and system testing;
3. To be responsible for developing new systems including analysis of user requirements, design and programming, testing and commissioning, and implementation;
4. To handle procurement of IT-related products / services and ensure satisfactory of deliverables;
5. To explore and conduct research on the latest products, tools or solutions for enhancing the existing environments in view of the recent Policy Address and the latest technology development if applicable;
6. To review and analyze departmental IT guidelines, policies and practice notes and ensure compliance for systems and services rendered;
7. To negotiate with vendors and users to support and administer hardware equipment and tackle problem if necessary;
8. To perform related tasks including preparing the system documentations, conducting compliance checks for data security and integrity; and
9. To carry out any duties as assigned by supervisors.

| Requirements |
1. Degree in Information Technology or related discipline, or higher;
2. In-depth knowledge in system development and support;
3. Proficient in Java EE or J2EE web application development;
4. Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL;
5. Experience in system analysis and design; and
6. Experience in similar project will be an advantage.
Technical Skills:
. At least 8 years' experience in Oracle RDBMS (ODB);
. At least 8 years' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM);
. At least 8 years' experience in WebLogic Server Administration (WLG);
. 4 years' experience in WebSphere Application Server (WAS) is an advantage;
. 4 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF) is an advantage;
. 4 years' experience in IT Security (ITS) is an advantage;
. 4 years' experience in Java Application Framework (e.g. Struts (Apache)) (JAF) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 8 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. At least 8 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS);
. Good written English is a must.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 10 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 8 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
