Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the ImmD; To upgrade CDS and UPMS by improving cloud compatibility, enhancing DevOps which include: (a) To participate in the design, implementation and rollout of the new CDS services according to the requirements provided by the Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) and Immigration ControlSystems (ICONS) project teams, in order to facilitate the enhancement exercises; (b) To participate in the technology upgrade of CDS front-end and back-end services; (c) To analyse the existing CDS and UPMS applications architecture for new CDS and UPMS that aligns with new design principles that are scalable, resilient, and optimized for performance in the new environments; (d) To enhance the DevOps pipeline of CDS; (e) To provide technical support on the front-end and back-end services of CDS and UPMS; (f) To participate in the upgrade and testing of the SOA infrastructure; (g) To work closely with other project teams to ensure that all integration activities are coordinated and executed smoothly; and (h) To conduct unit testing, system integration testing and other system testing to ensure the upgraded CDS and UPMS are connected and functioning as intended within the new ITI and all other ImmD interfacing systems prior system rollout. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements The candidate shall possess the following essential technical skills: (a) Solid Experience with Java EE application development, SOAP and RESTful web services; (b) Solid Experience in Java Application Framework such as Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate, etc.; (c) Solid Experience in application development with RDBMS such as IBM DB2; (d) Strong experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing; (e) Strong hands-on experience on Cloud Technology and Microservices Architecture; (f) Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, JSON, ReactJS; (g) Proficiency in Testing tools including Junit, Postman, SoapUI, etc.; (h) Proficiency in IBM WebSphere, Eclipse; (i) Knowledge in Reporting tools such as JasperReports; and (j) Knowledge in Unix/Linux environment. Criminal record check will be required. Technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in J2EE Development (JDE); . At least 2 years' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL); . At least 2 years' experience in Web Programming (WEB); . At least 2 years' experience in Web Services (WSV). Non-technical Skill: . Good coordination skills is a must. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
