Enhance software to parse new incoming data from various sources including airlines, AAHK, CAD, WAFCs as well as those from the 3RS project and insert the content into the operational MET databases; 2. Explore technologies involving the use of specialized database including graph and time-series database and their application in the provision of MET information and services; 3. Establish data sources, implement MET specific panels and create fit-for-purpose dashboards for rendering of MET information for aviation users; and 4. Document the software developed and conduct relevant trainings to HKO staff. Transfer finished software and products, together with knowledge and experience, to HKO staff. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 5.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 3.0 Requirements 1. Experience in systems programming using PHP, Node.js, Java, Python and Linux shell scripting; 2. Experience in web development using JavaScript and HTML5 / HTML; 3. Experience in NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Neo4j); 4. Experience in using Docker and Git; 5. Knowledge in meteorology and / or aviation will be an advantage. A criminal record check will be required, and the offer is subject to the criminal record check results. Technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in HTML5 (HT5); . At least 4 years' experience in HTML version before HTML5 (HTM); . At least 4 years' experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP); . At least 4 years' experience in JAVA Programming (JAV); . At least 4 years' experience in PHP programming (PHP); . At least 4 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS); . At least 4 years' experience in Web Programming (WEB); . At least 2 years' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL); . At least 2 years' experience in MySQL (MSQ); . At least 1 year's experience in Source Control Management System (SCM); . 1 year's experience in Apache Web Server (AWS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Web Services (WSV) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in XML (XML) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV); . At least 3 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS); . At least 1 year's experience in software testing (STM). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
