To support the network infrastructure for various IT systems of Next Generation Integrated Library System (NGILS) and Smart Library System (SLS), and related projects/enhancements 2. To support the LCSD departmental network, and related projects/enhancements Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD; 1. To work closely with relevant parties and supervise analyst programmers/other support staff to perform network and security appliance administration and technical support on LAN/WAN environment for the Next Generation Integrated Library System (NGILS)/Smart Library System (SLS) and also other departmental infrastructure systems; 2. To provide on-going support and contract administration for various WAN services for about 500 OA venues in LCSD departmental network; 3. To participate in infrastructure implementation for large scale IT projects; 4. To participate in the technical design, preparation of technical specifications and evaluation of proposals for new and revamp projects; 5. To participate in related infrastructural service delivery management; 6. To assist in supervising a pool of analyst programmers; 7. To prepare test plan, conduct acceptance test and update technical documentation etc. in the project life-cycle; 8. To perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor; and 9. To provide on-call support and perform other duties, and work outside normal working hours if necessary. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 4.0 Requirements 1. Have a Hong Kong degree, or equivalent; 2. Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese language and Level 3 / Grade C or above in English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; 3. At least 6 years of post-graduate IT experience , and preferably with at least 3 years of experience in the role of System Analyst; 4. At least 4 years of experience in network administration, network implementation support, design of WAN/LAN and network security; 5. At least 2 years of experience in infrastructure project management; 6. Knowledge in Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and/or Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) solutions; 7. Experience in project coordination, especially on large-scale project rollout activities, supervising external service providers, and service contract administration with or in the Government is preferred; 8. Government project and procurement experience is preferred; 9. Independent and proactive; 10. Strong communication skills; 11. Proficient in both spoken and written English and Cantonese; and 12. Possession of certifications of CCNP / PMP / CISSP / ITIL is preferred. Technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP); . At least 2 years' experience in Network Design (NDN); . At least 1 year's experience in IT Security (ITS); . At least 1 year's experience in Mobile / Wireless Communication (MWC). Non-technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in project management (PRM); . At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV); . Excellent written English is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in managing Government projects (MGP) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in contract administration (CON) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
