To support various network infrastructures and security systems of the LCSD departmental network, and the implementation of related projects/enhancements Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD; 1. To provide project and on-going support on network aspects for various system implementation projects, upgrades and enhancements; 2. To participate in infrastructure implementation for large scale IT projects; 3. To participate in related infrastructural service delivery and project management; 4. To perform network administration and technical support on LAN/WAN environment with specific focus on departmental network systems and network security appliances; 5. To recommend and implement network and security enhancement solutions; 6. To participate in the technical design, preparation of technical specifications and evaluation of proposals for new and system revamp projects; 7. To prepare test plan, conduct acceptance test and update technical documentation etc. in the project life-cycle; 8. To help supervise a pool of analyst programmers; 9. To perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor; and 10. To provide on-call support and perform other duties, and work outside normal working hours if necessary. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 6.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 4.0 Requirements 1. Have a Hong Kong degree, or equivalent; 2. Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese language and Level 3 / Grade C or above in English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; 3. At least 6 years of post-graduate IT experience with at least 2 years of experience in supervising role; 4. At least 4 years of experience in network implementation support, design of WAN/LAN and IT security; 5. Strong knowledge in OSPF, VPN and BGP routing adopted in large scale network infrastructure; 6. Solid hands-on and support experience in the setup and administration of security systems, e.g. Juniper SRX firewalls, McAfee IPS, Fortinet firewalls; 7. In-depth knowledge and solid hands-on on network technology and related product, e.g. Cisco Nexus series, A10 Application Delivery Controller, Fortinet proxy servers; 8. Experience in project coordination, especially on large-scale project rollout activities, supervising external service providers will be an advantage; 9. Government project and procurement experience is preferred; 10. Independent and proactive; 11. Strong communication skills; 12. Proficient in both spoken and written English and Cantonese; and 13. Possession of certifications of CCNP / PMP / CISSP / ITIL is preferred. Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP); . At least 3 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM); . At least 2 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF); . At least 2 years' experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT); . 2 years' experience in Virtual LAN/LAN Switching (VLS) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV); . 2 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage; . Excellent written English is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in IT procurement (PRO) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
