(T26) 1. To support the network infrastructure for various IT systems of Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL) with focus on the Smart Library System (SLS) and related projects/enhancements
2. To support the LCSD departmental network and related projects/enhancements

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD;
1. To work closely with relevant parties and supervise analyst programmers/other support staff to perform network and security appliance administration and technical support on LAN/WAN environment for the SLS of HKPL and also other departmental infrastructure systems;
2. To participate in the feasibility study, design and implementation of network and security infrastructure for large scale IT projects;
3. To participate in project management and provision of technical support to application/project teams;
4. To prepare technical design, specification and conduct technical evaluation for new or upgrade projects;
5. To help supervise a pool of analyst programmers;
6. To prepare test plan, conduct acceptance test and update technical documentation, etc. in the project life-cycle;
7. To perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor; and
8. To provide on-call support and perform other duties as required, and work outside normal working hours if necessary.

| Requirements |
1. Have a Hong Kong degree, or equivalent;
2. Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese language and Level 3 / Grade C or above in English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
3. at least 4 years of experience in the role of System Analyst;
4. at least 4 years of experience in network administration, network implementation support and the design of LAN/WAN which includes :
- project coordination and site inspection for network setup
- handling large scale LAN/ WAN/ VPN implementation
- configuring Cisco routers and switches
- knowledge about setup and management of firewall systems
- knowledge about Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) solution
- knowledge about network access control (NAC) and SSL VPN solutions
- network and system management
5. at least 2 years of experience in infrastructure project management;
6. Independent and proactive;
7. Strong communication skills;
8. Proficient in both spoken and written English and Cantonese; and
9. Possession of certifications of of CCNP / PMP / CISSP / ITIL is preferred.
Technical Skills:
. At least 3 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP);
. At least 3 years' experience in Networking (NET);
. At least 3 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM);
. At least 2 years' experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW);
. 2 years' experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 2 years' experience in project management (PRM);
. At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. 2 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage;
. Excellent written English is an advantage;
. 1 year's experience in vendor management (VMG) is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
