Job Key No 10847 Job Title/ Category Senior Specialist (Systems Infrastructure) Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Technical Support Nature Permanent Contract Period Employer Business financial institution Location Base Kwun Tong Work Outside Current Location N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Duties - Serve a permanent position to a financial institution; - Assist in the system architectural design and solutions to meet business requirements and cost-effectiveness; - Manage and provide technical support on system software and hardware; - Perform system infrastructure installation, testing and periodic system software/hardware upgrade; - Conduct and implement strategic, system capacity and disaster recovery planning; - Maintain good performance on system infrastructure and high system availability at all times by managing and maintaining effective emergency fix, recovery and contingency processes; - Monitor and report systems performance by using relevant monitoring tools; - Plan and implement effective problem diagnosis and management processes and perform trouble shooting and problem resolution; - Prepare system documentation and reporting; - Develop and execute procedures which ensure, at all times, the security and integrity of operating systems, application systems and data; - Under the direction from the Management, evaluate and propose hardware, operating systems and software packages and utilities with maximum cost performance. Make appropriate proposals for continuous improvement of services; - Provide proactive advice and assistance, on the features of, and the use of the operating systems software and utilities, midrange servers and peripherals; - Provide 7 x 24 on-call support for emergency production incidents and on-site support for fire-fighting and perform shift duties as required. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 7.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 2.0 Requirements - University degree in Electrical/Electronic, Computer Engineering/Science or related discipline. - Minimum 7 years’ systems administration and support experience of which at least 2 years must be solid in the AIX platform and/or other Unix systems, along with skills in WebSphere Application Server, MQ, Oracle and DB2. - Possessing of the skills in IBM Tivoli Monitoring Tools and IBM DataPower will be an advantage. - Experience in IBM SAN Storage and SAN switch support and administration with its associated management software will be an advantage. - Willing to work occasionally on evening and holiday shift duties for supporting operation. - Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. - Able to pick up new skills through self-learning and on-the-job training. - Good problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills and able to work under pressure. - Candidates with less experience may be considered for Specialist I (Systems Infrastructure).
